Job Title: CADD III
Reports To: Senior Job Captain
FLSA Status: Non Exempt – Hourly
The CADD III is responsible to prepare clear, complete and accurate miscellaneous advanced drawing tasks, design drawings, renderings, and construction documents from rough or detailed sketches, verbal communication and/or notes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in the creation of proposals, presentations, programs and construction documents working under the direction of Job Captain (Job Captain or Sr Job Captain) or Project Architect (Architectural Project Manager, Project Architect or Sr Project Architect).
- Analyzes building codes, space and site requirements, technical documents and reports to integrate their effect into architectural drawings.
- Operates Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) software to produce designs, drawings, renderings and video presentations.
- Perform CADD activities / tasks on projects within established schedules and budgets.
- Manage and maintain successful client relationships.
- Mentors or coaches staff in CADD I and CADD II positions.
- Codes – Have a detailed knowledge and correct application of building codes and regulations governing construction.
- Building and Construction – Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings / facilities.
- English Language- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Mathematics – Knowledge of algebra, geometry, statistics, and their application. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference and volumes.
- Computers and Electronics – Proficient knowledge of companies’ computer software, including AutoCAD.

Minimum Education and/or Experience, Certifications/Licenses required:
- Associate’s degree from Community College or Technical School.
- Five (5) years or more of Architecture practice experience.
