Bakersfield College – M&O

Klassen Corporation was commissioned by Kern Community College District to consolidate Bakersfield College’s Maintenance and Operations building, eliminating the previous separate buildings in order to facilitate more open space. The new consolidated M&O Building was over 5 million dollars in entirety, 15,000 sq. ft., and included new pavement of surrounding parking area. The structure houses locker storage areas, management offices, custodial materials, an elevator, and general repair equipment ready for use to the College and their Maintenance and Operations Staff. The general warehouse houses a workshop lift station that can suspend all maintenance equipment, allowing employees to fix mechanical issues in-house. In addition, the warehouse includes a mezzanine for inventories of supply and future staffing.
