With restaurants in 36 states across the country, Famous Dave’s BBQ restaurants offer an award-winning menu in a family-friendly atmosphere. The restaurant owners approached Klassen Corporation to serve as General Contractor. The objective was to remodel an existing property, then known as The Pizza Market into one of their signature restaurants.

Open daily for lunch and dinner patrons of Famous Dave’s enjoy an atmosphere of stained concrete flooring, exposed ceilings and a double-sided fireplace. Seating approximately 190 guests, the 10,000 square foot facility includes a bar, separate take-out area and an ambiance like no other establishment in Bakersfield. The kitchen features a smoker that resides 50% in the building, 50% outside the building where the staff smokes up to 1,600 pounds of meat per day. In addition to General Construction services, Klassen Corporation also provided all the finish carpentry services themselves, hanging every sign and accessory in the expansive building.
