Klassen Corporation provided general construction services for the modernization of Chaparral Elementary School, Prep Academy. The modernization of this campus was designed to incorporate STEM learning and cutting-edge technology into the facility. Nineteen existing portable classrooms and three existing Kindergarten classrooms received interior finish upgrades, structural modifications and improvements created new spaces for administration, 10 studio classrooms, and two specialty teaching spaces. The multipurpose building was completely remodeled and upgraded to include folding partition doors to create an open-air stage to the exterior space. The entire campus received new exterior paint and the existing playfield space was upgraded to include a new play surface for fall protection.
